Raising the Platform for Survivors

Sexual violence is an Alaskan problem. It affects people of all ages, of either side of the political spectrum, and from every place in Alaska. It is so enormous that it seems impossible to stop. Where would we even start?

We start by giving sexual violence an identity. We put stories behind the numbers and faces on the statistics. We aim to build an Alaska where survivors can feel heard and supported. By doing this, our team at 49th Rising believes that we can make Alaska as safe it is beautiful.

Let's address sexual violence in Alaska straight on. By facing it. By trying our best.

We will share our stories. And we will push for change.

We hope you will join us. 

$1,000 will help us build a more prominent platform in Alaska's social landscape for survivors of sexual violence to tell their stories. 

Yet apart from financial resources, we want your support for the policy solutions we're drafting. We want you to send letters to legislators urging them to sign onto the bills filed to end sexual violence. We need miles so that we can send women and men from throughout Alaska to Juneau to testify for these bills. However you can, we appreciate your support.
