I am running the cambridge half marathon on March 3rd 2019. In order to raise funds for the QEH waterlily birthing centre.
So on the 20th October 2017 our lives got turned upside down and changed for ever!
What was supposed to be a happy joyous occasion for our family and friends turned into a living nightmare.
Our beautiful baby daughter Ivy Ember Rose Lowry was born into this world asleep. The days after became hazy and a complete blur.
One thing that touched us forever was the amazing staff in the Waterlilly birthing centre that were there for us throughout the labour and also after tragedy struck!
Id like to be able to raise money to help buy more equipment for the area such as resuscitation units and help to adapt the suites to ensure what happened to us doesn’t happen to anyone else.
I would like to be able to know that all things that may have affected our families situation are being reduced and the likelihood of these awful events happening is being reduced and by helping raise funds for this ward will help me feel like I have raised more awareness around stillbirth and unexpected stillbirth.
The staff were fantastic and I’d love for them to know they have everything possible available in the event of emergency situations.
Any donations as little or as much as you can to help this birthing centre would be fantastic and I’m sure would help massively!!!!
