Metal Bristle Awareness for Elizabeth

Elizabeth's family would like to bring awareness to the use of metal bristle brushes and the impact it can have on a person's life. An interview conducted of Dr. Mansson shows how a small piece of metal has led to people being sent to the hospital, and in this case how it took the life of a beautiful young soul.
According to NBC-2, A tool used to clean barbecue grills is sending people to the hospital. "It's not an easy operation. When the ENTs are looking for this in the mouth, it's literally a needle in the haystack. It's hard to find. You can't pick it up on X-ray, and it becomes a very difficult operation, and it can be life-altering for these people," said Dr. Mansson. Finding the metal bristle in Elizabeth was extremely complicated because it had traveled from her esophagus to her small intestine.
Dr. Mansson states, "I have a young lady in the ICU that is fighting for her life because of a perforation in her intestine." That young lady was Elizabeth, a single mother of three. Over the course of three months, Elizabeth was sent to three different hospitals in an attempt to save her life. After countless surgeries and doctor interventions, Elizabeth's organs eventually shut down. Unfortunately, Elizabeth lost this battle, and we want her story to raise awareness and save the lives of others.
The family is grieving the loss of a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, but we know that it is time to let her peacefully dance in the sky. Elizabeth's family understands that many would like to help in this time of need, and are grateful for your support.
