What is the Rainbow Pierogi contingent?
We are open-minded, fun-loving Poles and allies from the San Francisco Bay Area. We are the counterbalance for the not-so-fun parts of our culture. We love being our joyful selves and empowering others to live their lives on their own terms. No to homophobia, yes to kindness!

Our contingent made an appearance for the very first time at San Francisco Pride in 2017, and as a result of our previous GoFundMe campaign, it enabled us to be more visible than we previously thought was possible. We're hoping to do it again this year!
What are the funds being raised for?
Here's the breakdown*:
•$229; San Francisco Pride Registration, Cleaning Fee, & Insurance Liability // required by the organizers
•$100; Banner (reusable) // carried by our group front & center
•$286; Stickers (1000) // to be handed out to Parade goers!
•$39.50; Buttons // to be handed out to participants
•$50; Facebook Ads // covering our Facebook page promotion & outreach etc.
That adds up to $704.50 concrete organizational costs, that we need to cover.
If our end goal will be exceeded, we'll ask our participants to decide to which Polish charities, dealing w/ LGTBQ+ issues should we donate the remainder.
Will there be free t-shirts as last year?
This year, we're doing things a bit differently to ensure that those who would like a t-shirt - and there's a LOT of you - can indeed get their hands on one.
We'll have a *NEW* t-shirt design (not the one above) at the beginning of June. Follow our fan page, and check up our website - http://rainbowpierogi.com - for more details.
What if I can't afford to donate, can I still participate?
TAK! (that's 'yes' in polish). We will not turn anyone away from joining us. In fact, you don't have to be Polish to be part of the contingent.
