I am very proud of my brother Rafa, as a man and women's ally.
Rafa attended a party with few friends last Saturday 9/2/2017. At the party he noticed a man taking advantage of an intoxicated woman. He approached the man to give the man a piece of his mind. Taking advantage of an intoxicated woman is sexual assault, he says. The man gets on Rafa's face and starts threatening him with physical assault. With the help of party attendees, they managed to take the woman away from the man. The man then leaves the party just to comes back with a machete knife in hand. Rafa tried to unsuccessfully de-escalate the situation. The man then starts threatening party goers and the woman again. Rafa then tried to take the machete knife away from the man, cutting both of Rafa's hands. The man fled the scene right after.
Rafa was taken to the hospital; he suffered from cut tendons from both hands and a cut artery. He had surgery the next morning. He has a long road ahead to recovery and this is where we need your help.
Rafa's insurance will not cover all his hospital bills. Aside from that, he will be out of a job for 3 to 4 months. Rafa is a construction worker and his physical ability is his means. Rafa was excited to start a new construction project on Tuesday, unfortunately, that won't happen anymore. So, We ask of you to please donate anything you can to this campaign.
