Funding for Radio Belmont

The Melting Pot Foundation USA and the Brownsville Community Culinary Center are proud to announce the imminent launch of our streaming radio station, Radio Belmont.


Radio Belmont’s vision is to produce vibrant music programming, compelling commentary, interviews and content built by and for the community. It will be both fully visible from Belmont Avenue and accessible to anyone patronizing the cafe; helping to foster an ongoing dialogue with the community. Radio Belmont will be run by Malik Abdul-Rahmaan, a hip-hop visionary whose passion has taken him across the country and the globe, weaving far-flung samples into beats that transcend borders.
