Kenya Mission Trip with City Takers

Blessings. I come to you under the leadership of Bishop Dale C. Bronner at the Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral. About five years ago, God placed me in the position to serve as the resident DJ for a powerful missionary movement called "City Takers." Over the years, I have witnessed an incredible season of life-changing ministry. This exposure has fueled a hunger to minister abroad. This GoFundMe page is to inform you about what God has been doing in this new season of my life! I began to ask God to expose me to international ministry and He simply said, "Go Ye!" So ... BAM! This is my first mission trip! God has called me to minister the Word in a unique way ... around the world ... on the 1's and 2's. I am literally living a dream and I'm passionate about spreading God's Word through this great opportunity.
In 1997, a local pastor in Georgia opened his heart and shared a gift that changed my life forever; he showed me unconditional love and let me know my gifts could be used in the church. He also shared a basic principle I still by: "Love God and Love People." This opened the door to spreading the gospel through ministering on turntables. Once I stepped through the door, God started opening opportunities to DJ for festivals, conferences and youth events around the world.
Here we are nearly 20 years later and I have an opportunity to go to Africa, minister through music and make disciples on an international level. As Christians, we are called to make disciples, seek God and sow good seed! Mark 16:15 reads, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to every creation." As a sign of obedience to this call, a team of us will embark on a mission trip to Kenya where we will serve in the slums, prisons, communities and also host two HUGE outdoor crusade/concerts where thousands of young people will hear the gospel.
We will fly into Nairobi, Kenya on August 20, 2014 and stay for 10 days. The young people in Kenya are really excited about the arrival of the City Takers team. We have been advised to expect thousands of people to show up at each music ministry opportunity.
Currently we have three events scheduled as well as outreach, mission projects and youth services. My prayer is that all the people we touch will come to know the transforming love of Christ that I have personally experienced. As a team of City Takers, we too will be changed by this experience ... forever.
This mission is costing $2500 per person. That will cover airfare, room and board as well as transportation in-country. Additionally, we must hire personal security for this trip due to some of the places we will be traveling.
I am also writing to you to ask you if you will partner with me in this GREAT GOD opportunity in my life by investing into what God is doing!
John 15:7(ESV) says, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."
Please give whatever you can as I need to raise most of the money ASAP in order to make this trip happen. Thank you ahead of time for your financial support and prayers.
