On the occasion of the 2021 Mini Transat , skipper Jay Thompson and his family have decided to join forces with the association Utopia 56 , for solidarity and respect of the fundamental rights of immigrants.

"Our lives have taught us that borders are a constraint on humanity and that true human interaction knows no boundaries."  Jay Thompson

Aboard his Mini 6.50 boat Speedy Gonzalez, whose sail has been repainted in the association's colours, skipper Jay Thompson is preparing for the famous Mini Transat, which will take him across the Atlantic Ocean in late September, a race of 4050 nautical miles, single-handed on the smallest ocean racing boats.

After 10 years of a nomadic life at sea, the Coconuts Sail Team, composed of Natasha, Jay and their 4 children, finally set up base in Brittany, France in December 2015. With the goal of accompanying Jay to achieve his dream of off-shore sailboat racing, the whole family is mobilised to make these races a real collective adventure.
