Here at Rachel's Hope, our clients participate in the Earn While You Learn program, where they watch videos and read literature on a variety of parenting topics and participate in various educational activities to earn points. They are then able to use their points in exchange for diapers, toiletries, clothing, baby furniture, and other necessities.
We use the official Earn While You Learn curriculum, which includes excellent, up-to-date videos on a wide variety of parenting topics. We have been using the same videos for many years, and our clients widely approve of this program.
However, most of our clients have seen all of the videos - some of them, twice. These videos are still great for new clients, but we would like to update the Earn While You Learn program to provide new videos that have even more up-to-date topics and information.
The 2017 update includes 12 new videos, available in both English and Spanish. Some of the new titles include "Bonding with Your Unborn Baby,"
"Family Violence: The Impact on Children,"
"SIDS,"
"Infant Nutrition" ....and many more! The curriculum also includes literature, worksheets, and instructional information for our volunteers.
The entire 2017 update would normally cost $1978.90, but is currently on sale and can be purchased in its entirety, with a total of 24 videos plus curriculum, for $999.90.
This is an excellent opportunity for our supporters and our community to come together and help us improve our program. It truly is a wonderful program that helps us to provide a hand up, rather than just a hand out. Any contribution you are able to make towards this project would be truly and greatly appreciated!
