Our dear friend and classmate, Erin O'Brien Klein and her family need our support.
Erin's husband Tim, died unexpectedly in April, leaving Erin and three young boys. Erin's mother, a support in her life, died in December, just before Christmas.
Dylan, her sweet 9 year old son went to the doctor, complaining of headaches and was found to have a brain tumor. He has now had one surgery, like a champ - but has more to come. Dylan has two brothers, TJ and Patrick, who are staying with friends and family while Erin and Dylan are in the hospital.
Let's rally and shower this family with support. Prayer is so appreciated and needed - but the material things count, too. Erin will be back and forth to the hospital, etc.. and constanly be paying for parking, and gas... Lunches and dinners - as well.
I am sure that when she and Dylan are home, it will be hard for her to shop, cook, clean and all that comes with keeping a house, and caring for her beautiful boys.
What can you do? Think of your own family and how touched you would be to receive the support of your dear classmates. Think of the difference it would make to have your groceries taken care of while you aren't able to work. Your rent, your mortgage... Your children - how much do they love going out for a pizza, a bagel, an ice cream? Chuck E Cheese or Laser Craze! All of it adds up, and yet, it is what they need the most, a little normalcy, a little fun to make this tough time more bearable.
This money, as it grows will become available to Erin. I am collecting gifts of money, gift cards, whatever you want to send. Send through this account, mail to my home, stop in and deliver to me, or arrange for a pick up. I will do my best to accomodate all of your kindness for Erin, Dylan, TJ and Patrick.
