Hello everyone,

For over 25 years (mostly at my personal expense) I have been an activist for Cetaceans (Whales and Dolphins). For over a decade I've empowered children of all ages (including adults) while raising awareness about the plight of Whales and Dolphins through visually powerful public Environmental Art projects and exhibits all over the world. The photo here is from my trip to Tokyo in 2010 to join up with Ric O'Barry ("The Cove") and Save Japan Dolphins with a curtain of 1,300 Origami Dolphins. Each paper dolphin represents a real dolphin slaughtered annually in the fishing village of Taiji, Japan.

Since 2004, the Origami Whales Project (OWP) has worked to raise awareness concerning threats to cetaceans (dolphins and whales) through its stunning and memorable "Curtain of 38,000 Origami Whales."* Created by thousands of concerned citizens across the globe and exhibited throughout the world, this large-scale public art project serves as a powerful visual statement and memorial for the thousands of individual whales killed since the 1986 ban on commercial whaling.

* Since its inception, "the big curtain" is updated each year by adding 2,000 more Origami Whales (the number of real whales reported killed each year).

As urgent need for cetacean rights activities arise, the Origami Whales Project has expanded with additional outreach and education programs, creating "Curtains" of origami dolphins and whales in United States, Japan, Dominica, and New Zealand.

I have also been putting efforts forth to free Lolita, the lone Orca, 44 Years in an illegal tank at the Miami Seaquarium.

Current funding needs:

Updated November 2014: I have been invited to participate as guest speaker in the in the Miracle March for Lolita, January 17, 2015 in Miami, Florida. An estimated $900 is needed to cover airfare, transportation, and accommodation while in Florida. For more information, please go to: www.peggyoki.com/blog/archive/miracle-march-for-lolita.htm

Your contribution would be greatly appreciated in support of Peggy being a voice for Lolita, the lone Orca, held for over 44 years at the Miami Seaquarium.

The "Let's Face It" Visual Petition (LFI VP) campaign for the critically endangered Hector's & Maui's dolphins of New Zealand. Since initiating the campaign in 2012, we have over 8,300 LFI VPs, with a goal of 10,000.

"¢Travel and printing costs for more "Let's Face It" VP banners will be around $4,500. Additional funds will go towards covering costs for the Origami Whales Project.

I can't stress enough my need for your contributions and assistance. Can you help me find corporate funding, or any form of sponsorship that will continue to assist with my efforts to save the Whales and Dolphins? What business do you know that needs a world cause?

Thank you for your consideration and support!
