Hello Friends!
I have been working as a substitute teacher for the past year in different areas of the Twin Cities. Every day I work with children who face all types of different struggles. Imagine you are in 1st grade dealing with family issues, school issues, and when you finally get a break to the cafeteria to eat, you get to the end of the line with your tray only to find that your lunch account is empty.
Children who encounter this problem do not always find themselves facing those zeros for the same reasons, and regardless the reason for their empty accounts, we can all agree that the child is not at fault.
Donating money to children's lunch accounts is a great way that you can make an immediate, positive impact on someone's life, and you never even have to leave your couch!
My goal is to reach $1,000 (or more!) by Christmas, and I plan to donate the money to lunch accounts in some of the schools that I know have the most need for it. Schools will then divide the lunch money up into accounts that need it most.
