Michael Taylor Jr is currently laying in a hospital bed with severe complications due to Type 1 Diabetes. Currently 44 years old, American and living in Lisbon, Portugal for the past nine years- pursuing his love for his Portuguese wife, Ana, and for the love of Portugal.
He recently went on a business trip to London and returned home with what he assumed was the flu. On Thursday the 13th of December, he looked at his left foot and noticed a huge swollen black foot. This occurred overnight, the next day Michael went in for emergency surgery.
What happened? He has a foot disease called Charcot Foot Disease for over 15 years. Then an internal infection set in and expanded outwards, current damage to the tendons and tissues (bones will be inspected next surgery).
Michael would like to reach out for help, something he is almost ashamed of doing, to get the best medical care and save not only his foot but his life as well. This is the first Christmas he will not be spending with his wife and family. Michael kindly asks for your support for therapy, a diabetic specialist and insulin pump to extend his stay on Earth.

Recentemente fez uma viagem de negócios a Londres e voltou para casa com o que ele pensou ser uma gripe.
Na quinta-feira, 13 de dezembro, ele olhou para o pé esquerdo e notou um enorme inchaço negro. Isso ocorreu durante a noite, e no dia seguinte, Michael foi para a cirurgia de emergência.
O que aconteceu? Ele tem uma doença chamada Pé de Charcot há mais de 15 anos. Por essa razão, desenvolveu-se uma infecção interna que expandiu para fora, causando danos graves nos tendões e tecidos (os ossos serão inspeccionados na próxima cirurgia).
O Michael gostaria de pedir ajuda, mas é envergonhado demais para o fazer, a fim de obter os melhores cuidados médicos e salvar não apenas os seus pés, mas também a sua vida. Este é o primeiro Natal que ele não passará com sua esposa e família. O Michael gentilmente pede o vosso apoio para terapia, um especialista em diabetes e uma bomba de insulina para prolongar a sua estadia no Mundo. Obrigada
