Hunting Haven for Veterans

A group of veterans, most disabled from 70 to 100% have been building a hunting lodge by converting a 30 ft x 40 ft pole barn for the past 15 months.  This hunting lodge is our refuge from our day to day our struggles.  Currently, we are almost complete with the interior (about $2,500 in materials, $4,000 for appliances and $5,000 for furniture.  The remainder of the funding would be used to make the property ADA accessible with ramps and concrete porch to support access.  Our group gets together several times a month to hunt and relax.  The second function of this lodge is a safe haven from hurricanes for us and our families.  We have purchased all materials monthly and currently have enough materials to support our work on weekends until the end of September.  The funding is needed in October to finish the floors, cabinets and once complete purchase the appliance and furniture.  The remainder of the funding would be used for the concrete porch and ADA ramps based upon weather conditions to pour a concrete slab.
