WHY DONATE?
1. Missing the Mark is an INCLUSIVE webseries where creators/artists can come to practice their craft. Donating to this webseries will allow each episode to incorporate a new artist whether that is a new writer/actor/musician and thus provide a different narrative. Missing the Mark is not just my webseries, with the inclusion and collaboration with new and different artists it will become our webseries. With your help we are breaking down the gatekeepers and creating our own opportunities.
2. I have set the goal to a ridiculous amount because I have no idea how successful this fundraiser will be. Based on how much we raise will be the determining factor of how much I can pay the crew per episode.
3. Missing the Mark is a comedic sketch show that highlights the anxious internal struggle between what is going on in your brain vs. what is portrayed in reality.
WHO AM I?
My name is Danielle Dallas Roosa. I write/produce/act in sketch comedy. I have been out in Los Angeles living "the dream" for two years now.
After doing all the "normal" things actors are required to do (headshots, acting class, auditions, casting workshops, casting websites) I noticed a fundamental flaw in this system. I found myself a part of a system that relied on other people to say "yes". Without those three letters we are unable to do what we love. I've seen the most talented people I've ever met lose their drive because they simply couldn't find an outlet to do what they love.
So here's an idea. Why not round all those talented passionate people together. Let's use each other to achieve the success we never could achieve alone.
