In remembrance of Annette Ford

On Saturday, September 12, 2015, Annette Ford (Nette), 6 days shy of her 33rd birthday, was found unconscious by her loving partner Don Tran. Unfortunately, she did not recover and passed away, leaving Don and their 8 year old autistic son Damon to continue life without her undivided love and support.
Don and Annette had been together for 10 years, were engaged to be married, and were devoted to their loving and beautiful son Damon. We do not expect and seldom prepare to live without our supporting partners, especially at this early stage of our lives. This has made Don a single father with the responsibility to carry on with his special needs son alone.
Unlike most children, Damon has a great deal of difficulty with everyday things that we often take for granted, such as eye contact, communication, and most social interactions. Raising a child with autism requires a significant amount of effort from a couple; making it a daunting challenge as a single parent.
Our goal is to ease this difficult transition for Don and Damon by asking for financial assistance so that Don can lay his partner to rest and continue to provide a structured environment for Damon by leveraging some of the costly support services required for special needs children.
Nette loved to share her gift and passion for poetry and music. Her insightful perspective and wittiness touched many people on various forums, and we know that this news will also grieve many others. Nette's poetry will continue to be enjoyed for decades to come http://clubnette.com/
