"The Quiet Healing" Documentary

Donation protected
Hello Everyone! My name is Andrew Lauto and I am the director of the independent documentary film, "The Quiet Healing". I, along with Jacob Woodward, the editor of the film, and Dave Alegre, the cinematographer of the film, we are honored to bring to you a project that is very near and dear to our hearts!

Two years ago, we were approached by Toby Yarbrough, a former army sergeant who wrote a book called "The Quiet Healing". His book tells his amazing story and he wanted to make it into a documentary film to tell others about his story. Since then, it has been an amazing journey making this film and learning so much through this story.

The Quiet Healing is a story about Toby's time in the army, his traumatic injury he suffered while he was in the army, and how his service dog, Duke, saved his life time and time again in more ways than one. It is a story about faith, perseverance, friendship, family and community and we are honored to have the ability to share this story with you!

There are a few goals with this film that we are aiming to achieve:

First, we want to being awareness to the importance of service dogs and how they can dramatically increase the quality of life of our veterans and decrease the suicide rate in our military.

Second, we want to bring awareness to local non profit organizations that are helping veterans with their injuries and also helping them train their service dogs. In addition, we want to bring some medical treatments that have helped veterans like Toby into the light as well.

Lastly, we want to showcase the amazing relationship between Toby and Duke and how their one of a kind friendship has changed Toby's life in the most amazing way!

The film is almost done, however we need your help to bring it to competition. Through this GodFundMe campaign, we are asking for a minimum of $5,000 for some of the expenses that it takes to make this film possible. Your donations will go towards the freelancers we hired to do some amazing artwork including animation, narration, and original music for the film.

In addition to that, your donations will also go towards the smaller odds and ends we need to take care of for our Charity Red Carpet Premiere Event witch will take place at Regent University's Main theatre in Virginia Beach on January 19th, 2019. Tickets will be going on sale soon for that event!

Any additional funds left over from this campaign will be donated to Heal The Warriors, a local non profit organization that helps injured veterans with traumatic brain injuries similar to Toby's. Ultimately, your generous donations are going towards an amazing cause!

If you have it on your heart to give, please click the link and donate! Even if it is just $1, your donation goes a long way, and even if you can't donate financially, sharing our campaign on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, or any other social media platform is a huge help!

Thank you so much for your donations and support!
