In April 2018 Simply Gourmand qualified to compete at the World Food Championships by winning a golden ticket for Best Dessert at Bacon Bash in Royal Oak! Our winning dish was a trio of cheesecakes that included our Maple Bourbon Bacon Pecan, Chocolate Bourbon Bacon, and Irish Car Bomb.

Our team consists of Jessica Gourieux and a team of volunteers that includes Janel Dombrowski, Elizabeth Weisenberger, and Taylor O’Connor.
This year the competition is in Orange Beach, Alabama on November 7-11, 2018. We will be competing in the Dessert Category against 38 other chefs and home cooks from across the world.
We are excited to have this amazing opportunity to compete in the world’s largest food sports event. Simply Gourmand is a small home bakery business and will need your support to help with our accommodations and expenses. The registration fee has already been paid. However, we are responsible for all of our expenses, our travel expenses, accommodations, and meals we have estimated to be approximately $5,000. We are asking family and friends to help out in any way possible, as every little bit helps. If you choose to sponsor Team Simply Gourmand this gift will not go unrecognized nor unappreciated as we work our hardest to reach our goal, which is the WFC Championship.
