In June I was made aware that Manayunk Triumph was intending to change their name to Quaker City Motor Sport. In July I met with the dealer principal and requested that he not use that name due to how incredibly close the name is to Quaker City Motor Works.
Since then they have started to use the name despite assertions he had made previously that he wouldn’t.
With the two motorcycle shops less than 9 miles apart and both serving the same brand of bikes (Triumphs) confusion is inevitable and, of course, has already occurred.
In the past couple weeks I have attempted to get this resolved through mutual acquaintances, but that has failed.
They have left me no recourse but to go through legal action. This will pay the lawyers retainer.
