The world turns and life continues around us each and everyday. When you are diagnosed with a disease like ALS or Cancer, YOUR life stops while you focus and fight the challange you've been dealt but the world continues to go around you. You have added stress of a disease, doctors appointments, medications, medical bills, appointment and procedure co pays on top of your every month living expenses.
My name is Greg, my life experienced this in 2001 when I was diagnosed with a life threatening cancer, today I am a survivor. My brother in-law is not so fortunate as ALS has dictated his destiny and created difficult challenges physically and financially for him and my sister Disa.
The money raised on the campaign will go directly to helping Disa and Darryl pay for future medical expenses and medical equipment that he will require as he has become immoble now, future homecare nursing support and medications. It has now come to the point that Disa has to do everything for Darryl now from bathing, dressing, mobilizing him and now sometimes even having to feed him. I am in great hopes that enough money from this campaign can afford for me to arrange a house cleaning service and yard maintenance service to help relieve some of her stress of the up keep of their home and property.
ALS is a horribly torturous end to an individuals life and the money raised from this campaign will, without a doubt in my mind, create some comfort for Darryl knowing that they have some financial support that can allow him rest and quality time spent with his family until the Lord has determined it's his time to "Go Home."
