My name is Beth Robinson. This gofundme account has been created to help my brother and sister in law. South Carolina recently experienced the devastating effects of flooding due to a combination of excessive rainfall and weather systems. We are working to gather funds for the Robinson family. Jay and Amanda Robinson have one son, Ellis, who will be two years old in February. This family works hard to support their family, friends, and community.
On the morning of October 4 Jay and Amanda were forced to evacuate their home due to rising flood water. Thankfully, Jay, Amanda, and Ellis were able to relocate to the home of family members nearby. In the following days, more water and storm damage took its toll on their home and on many other homes in the Columbia area. Above all else, my husband, Marshall, (Jay's brother) and I are SO THANKFUL that Jay, Amanda, and sweet Ellis are SAFE.
The funds collected through this site will help Jay and Amanda replace items that are not covered through their flood insurance. Sadly, their flood insurance will not cover the cost for personal loss. Structurally, their home will be delcared as a loss. We will know more by Tuesday afternoon once we have spoken with the insurance company during their on site visit. The flood damage ruined their one story home and replacing personal household items will be costly for them. All of their furniture and many hosehold items are a complete loss.
This family has been supportive to so many people during their time of need. Our family wants to help them with receiving the support NOW. Please give what you can. Also, continue to pray for the thousands of people displaced from the recent flooding in the South Carolina area. We are blessed to have each other and know that rebuiling our lives is minimual compared to what others in our community are dealing with. Thank you for your donations and continued prayers.
