Help me get my dream job

For the last 10 years I have wanted to get a job with the ambulance service and the one thing that is stopping me applying is that I require C1 catogry on my driving licence. Due to when I passed my driving test I do not have this and have to do a course that costs around £750 to get this on my licence. Before I can do the course I need to get it added as a provisional to my licence and although getting it added cost nothing I need to have a medical form completed by a gp and this will cost me £150 at my gp practice. I would also be initially taking a pay cut to get the job I have dreamt of doing for so long. I currently volunteer with the ambulance service as a first responder.
