Donald had a baby!

New Dad Donald Taylor Jr. has a dream for not only himself but his newly adopted son. He writes on his Facebook page the following hope for the next year:
I am just going to put this out there today, so that in a year when my TimeHop pops ups I can be like, "dang, right on!” By this time next year, my son and I will have a small RV. Maybe a tow-behind but preferably a vintage RV. We will be working to fix it up cosmetically but it will be relatively sound mechanically. And we will be touring various camp grounds. I am claiming it, owning it, expecting it, and working for it. My son and I got our first mailing out today (yes, he helps with the business) so we're motivated and inspired. It's going to happen. I know it; can feel it. Check back in a year timehop. – Donald Taylor Jr.

No one deserves to have this dream come true more than Donald and his son. Donald’s son has spent more years than he has been on this earth in the foster system from foster family to foster family. That is until Donald made the decision to become a foster parent. Donald’s home is the first place this child has stayed in long term, 27 months to be precise. The first place this child could call home. He has more than a foster parent in Donald. He has been Dad from day 1. It has not been an easy road for either of these 2 special people. Nevertheless, April 1, 2015, will be a day they will remember forever as they day they officially became Father and Son.
When Donald’s son came into his life, Donald was the Executive Director of the Louisville Youth Group, going to school, teaching suicide prevention, and teaching kids at different locations how to hold their heads up, prevent and deal with bullying, and be their unique whole selves. That is just a small portion of the things Donald has done to give back to his community and the communities around him. Since then, Donald has graduated to become a Licensed Massage Therapist and started his own business helping others to take care of themselves through healthy living and distressing with massage. He also is the loudest voice to advocate for these special kids.
Donald being a small business owner and a single dad, money is not overly abundant. However, Donald is a very frugal dad. He grows his own vegetables, cans his own jams, veggies, etc., uses coupons, and so much more to be able to financially make it day to day. He rarely splurges on anything frivolous. Camping is something this father and son love to do that does not cost a lot. Therefore, we come to you today; on the day, they became an official family to ask you to bless this new family with this gift. Let’s help this amazing dad get his vintage RV so that he and his new son can spend their free time in the place they love most, nature. So many people love this inspiring Dad. If we all chip in a little we can help him reach his goal that much sooner. If we can reach that goal then maybe this dad can spend this year working a lot less and spending a lot more playtime with his son.
