GET THE BOAT TO NYC

Following its World Premiere at the Limerick Fringe Festival 2018, Eavan Brennan’s new play Get the Boat has been invited to the world renowned SoHo Playhouse, New York City for four weeks in July 2018. Get The Boat which features Brennan and Siobhán Donnellan and is directed by Ruth Smith, revolves around two strangers who meet on a journey that many Irish women still keep as their biggest secret.

While it is a fantastic opportunity, as you can imagine, the costs associated with travelling to New York and sharing this new work on a voluntary basis are significant including flights, insurance, set construction, transport, etc. And this is where you come in. The trio have just launched a GoFundMeCampaign to enable them to bring Get the Boat to International status and need your help to make it a reality.

Even if you’re not in a position to donate yourself, they would be sincerely grateful if you could share/copy/spread the word with anyone who could support them in anyway.

With reviews continuing to pour in (incl. 5 STARS from www.playstosee.com below), we head into our final week of shows with Get The Boat in SoHo Playhouse. (Until August 5th)

It has been an extraordinary journey and one we would never have had the opportunity to undertake had it not been for YOUR generosity and support.

We’ve been lucky enough to have a talk-back discussion with our audience after every performance and that has been incredible. People have engaged with us not only in regards to the play itself but they’ve shared their own personal stories, in some cases, for the first time ever.

We feel very privileged to have had the chance to bring Get the Boat to an International audience and would like to say a HUGE thanks to YOU for helping make this happen, we are sincerely grateful. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Le grá mór,
Eavan, Siobhán agus Ruth.
