Children of Incarcerated Parents
Thank you for your interest in supporting, American Children who have been separated from their parents do to a parent is incarcerated. There are 2.5 million people in jail or prison in the United States, compared to just 500,000 in 1980. Today 1-in-28 American children, have an incarcerated parent. Just 25 years ago, the number was 1-in-125. Statistics found that the number of parents held in prison (52%) are mothers (54%) are fathers, at the times of there arrest were the primary provider for their children before incarceration.
The horror of these children being separated from their parent is heartbreaking when we on a daily see these kids face complex challenges, including bullying, sibling rivalry, lack of resources to get a quality education like most kids.
Your contribution to (GBCI) will assist us as we provide tuition, school uniforms, school supplies, aftercare payments, sporting uniforms/equipment and spending money for field trips and other special events and needs. Per i.e. the kids' individual need. At (GBCI) we are dedicated to rescuing, restoring, and releasing children from poverty and hopelessness, with your help we can do much more. Our children are in trouble if we do not help them! We must do what we can to help children who will help make America and the World a better place for us all.
