Helping Jill

Donation protected
Some of you know that my sister, Jill Waldron, was born with a bone disorder called Fairbank's disease or multiple epiphyseal dysplasia (MED).  MED is a rare genetic disorder (dominant form: 1 in 10,000 births) that affects the growing ends of bones. Jill had multiple surgeries as a child, and has recently had a setback. This past week her hips have failed to the point that she cannot walk without crutches or other assistance. After going to an orthopedic specialist she has discovered she is in need of a total hip replacement. At 40 years old this was not in her plan.
If you know Jill then you know she has a big heart and is willing to help anyone. She loves to take care of animals and always has a smile on her face. Jill is a people person, customer service at her job is her calling. When I took Jill to her appointment and she heard the news of surgery, her first thought was panic about losing her job and not being able to pay her bills. It was very sad to witness because my job or paying my bills wouldn't need to be my first thought. Many of us are fortunate to have job security and sick time. I am hoping that we can raise enough money that we can take this worry away from Jill. We are hopeful that during her surgery and the weeks of healing will be free from worry about bills and focused on walking again pain free. We thank you for your consideration in helping out my sister. As I know she would be there for any one of us.
