Meds and Medical Equipment

Donation protected

I am a 27 year old woman on disability. I suffer from severe Crohn's disease, as well as arthritis in my hip and back. I supplement the stipend I get from ODSP with sales from an Etsy store, but I don't make very much. (Disability knows every dollar I make).

One of the medications I take for pain and nausea control is not covered by the insurance and the full dose costs $300 a month. I've been living on a half dose for the last year in an effort to save some money.

Because I made less sales this month, and because of some unforseen expenses, I don't have enough to buy my usual dose. and the pharmacy won't let me buy less than $100 worth at a time.

In addition to not being able to afford the medication, the medical supplies I need to administer the medication also needs to be replaced. My old one broke, and while I've been making due with other ways of administering the medication, it aggravates my allergies to do so.

The money will be used as follows:

$200 to replace the medical equipment I need and

$150 will be use to buy my usual half dose of my medication.

Any extra money that comes in will be used to buy more medication.

**Please note, I am being vague on specifics since the medication I use is not legal everywhere. I do however have a valid and legal prescription where I am. For more information, please feel free to go to my blog.**
