My Cancer Journey

Summer of 2018 brought our world to a halt when I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Melanoma. Melanoma happens to be the rarest form of skin cancer. Doctors were confident surgery would put me in remission. At that time I no longer was a candidate for PET scan. This would of told us then if it wasn’t just confined to my arm. Spring of 2019 we were hit with heartbreaking news. We are now facing Stage 3 Melanoma. It has been invading my arm pit & neck lymph nodes, and breasts. Our greatest fear is that it has traveled outside the lymph nodes which is the final stage. Now that there is urgency with the staging. Our days have been consumed with testing, labs, scan and more. With me being the sole provider for my household things are getting tough. All allotted time off has been utilized. Most of these appointments are with specialists in different cities. Due to the financial hardships we are seeking help. We don’t know how long this journey will be. When we will see remission. We know this will be a bumpy road. Nothing with cancer is easy. Follow my journey as I begin the fight of my life.
