My name is Deirdre Ellen Wilson.
Pictured above is "Thor", my service chihuahua.
Currently, Thor and I are regular volunteers at our local library, as well as being employed there for part time available work. We also help as much as we can with helping find homes for ferrell animals, volunteering at the local food bank, and doing necessary odd jobs to survive. Thor has not only been a life saver for me over the last seven years, but has many friends we visit regularly, and many places we attend in our community for her to do her own "community outreach", helping adults and children alike understand more about the role of service animals and helping to cull fears about dogs.
Thor and I need your help. Even with all the light and love we provide wherever we go, our existence is minimized more and more by financial circumstances we cannot seem to get ahead of. Now we are facing forced relocation , urgently in need of a place to call home, and combined with increasing health issues, which are enhanced by poor living conditions we've been tolerating already, we are finding ourselves needing to ask for this help.
We are simply reaching out for the boost in resources that will allow us to become functioning participants of life again. We are willing components of wellness who are well deserving of your help. Please help us help ourselves, as we are helpers of life in ways that are small, yet significant in the bigger picture of our collective success. Please help. We have so many good ideas, and need help to implement them. This is the difference between life and death. Literally.
