Instead, she will only be able to take 3-4 weeks because as a young teacher with young children, she does not have enough sick time built up. In addition, her daughter had some health issues that required an extended hospital stay which has left them with large hospital bills. Disability does not cover the medical expenses needed so she will need to return to work only halfway through her recommended recovery time.
Any amount would help this beautiful teacher, friend, wife, and mother as she and her family struggle along this very difficult road. Thank you for considering helping this lovely family!
Dear Family, Friends, and Friends I have never met,
I was so blown away when I learned my friend Kathy had set up this site for my family me and! Facing breast cancer can be very scary, but having so much love, prayer, and support made all the difference. I made it through the nipple delay procedure, the horrific hematoma, a double mastectomy, fainting and coding blue in the hospital, a blood transfusion, and just yesterday a small procedure for a section that was not healing. Sometime in July or possibly December, the expanders will come out and the implants will be put in. I am almost done with all this!!! Your generous donations have helped me with my deficient paychecks (due to lack of sick days), prescriptions, special camisoles for my drain bags, scar treatment patches (very expensive!), housekeeping, child care, acupuncture, reiki, counseling, and savings for my next procedure.
From every challenge there are blessings and things to learn. I have never felt so loved and believed in thanks to all of you!
