Lee's Medical Expenses

Last October, my cousin, Lee Hinkle, was hunting from his tree stand. When he climbed out of his stand, he missed a step, fell and broke his back.
Lee was initially taken to Sentara RMH but was then flown by PHI Air Medical to the University of Virginia. He was diagnosed with a bursting fracture of the first lumbar vertebrate.
Lee is very fortunate. Even though it has been a long journey, Lee’s back is healing well. However, he has been off work since the fall and is unsure when he will be able to return since his job involves heavy lifting and bending. He does not have any short-term disability benefits.
Lee and his wife, Sumer, bought a home last year, which of course means they have a monthly mortgage payment. They also had their first child, Reese, in 2016. She is precious and has been the best treatment possible for Lee!
Lee has countless medical expenses from his accident and the largest by far is the PHI Air Medical bill.
Lee and Sumer will use any money received to pay the remainder of the air care bill and Lee’s other medical bills; emergency visits at the two hospitals, his stay in ICU and PCU at UVA, follow-up care and physical therapy.
Lee is one of the kindest, most giving people I know and I appreciate any you support you can provide him during this time, whether that be monetary or in the form of thoughts and prayers for continual healing.
