My Mother

I haven’t seen my Mother for 14 years. I am writing to ask for your help, as I find myself in a very serious family situation.
My name is Arashk and I came to the UK as a teenager 14 years ago, having had to flee from my home in Iran. I started working in the UK as soon as it was permitted. Having to support myself with no family in this country while studying for my Media&Television degree was very hard, but I managed. I then studied towards becoming a British citizen and now have a British passport! This however has been very costly and used up all my savings.
After two years of waiting my mother, age 63, who is very unwell has been given the opportunity of a kidney transplant in Iran next February. As she is very ill we (her family) have been advised that she may not survive the surgery.
Her children, my brother and I live in the UK and have not been able to see her since we left Iran 14 years ago. I recently graduated and am employed part time. I have no savings.
My request to you is to help me travel to see my mother. My brother and I are planning to go to Turkey for two weeks in December where my mum and sister will join us.
I am hoping to raise enough money for flights and accommodation to see my mother.
The flights and living cost add up to 1500 pounds.
I will be eternally grateful to you for any contribution you are able to give for the potentially final time I see my mother.
