Noah, (16), and Lucien, (18), his "big brother/best bud," were going to New Hampshire to hike on Black Friday (11/23/18).  They left early in the morning to get up there to have a great time.  Luc had hiked and climbed those White Mountains many times and both were looking forward to this amazing trip.   However, on their way, tragedy struck.  A terrible car accident happened which claimed the life of Luc.

Noah survived the accident and his quick thinking, from his Boy Scout Wilderness Training, kicked in and saved his eyesight by reminding him to remove his glasses and covering his eyes as the car went over the embankment.  He used his training to call for help and to maintain his composure despite the terrible tragedy.  Noah was airlifted to a local hospital that took such excellent care of him.

Almost immediately, people started praying for Noah and his friends and family.  The strides he has made have blown the doctors away.  The family KNOWS it is because of the prayers.  At the same time they are rejoicing over Noah, they are simultaneously grieving the loss of Luc.  Luc’s funeral is Saturday.  Please continue to lift up the Theberge family as they grieve and try to recover.  The family lost Luc's mother back in 2013.  This is so hard for them as well.

Noah remains in the hospital this week in New Hampshire, but he is making incredible progress towards healing.  However, with any tragedy the insurmountable medical expenses are almost too overwhelming to consider.  Scott, Noah's father, just transitioned to a new job in Florida.  That means the family is 1,418 miles from home.  Thankfully, the hospital has its own form of a Ronald McDonald house called David's House.  David’s House has been fantastic and has helped the family tremendously.  But, there are so many more expenses to address.  The family really needs financial support to keep going forward.  Of course, prayer is always a necessity as well.  If you can assist this family with just a little bit.  Each little bit can be put together to form "a lotta" bit.

Currently the family has a $16,000 deductible for 2018.  January 1, the $16,000deductible kicks in again.  The family will need to return home and find doctors to care for Noah's needs both physically and emotionally.  No family needs to go through this alone.

Anything you can give will reduce this family's burden.
