In October of 2015 Brien was diagnosed with an autoimmune liver disease called Primary Schlerosing Cholangitis. We are a family of five just navigating this weird place we're in.
All of the funds that were donated got us through a horrible and scary time! Thank you so much for that; your help was a blessing.
We're not to transplant yet but Brien feels like it will be soon; he has frequent infections and hospital stays which we have grown to accept and expect. The transplant team tells us it's the last thing we want..but Brien's quality of life is often painful and as he describes "like having the flu every day" yet he manages to be an awesome dad through all of this so...we would like transplant to be soon. Who knows, out of our control.
