Michael's Eagle Scout Project

My name is Michael Stenderowicz and I am a Life Scout with Troop 95 in Sparta, NJ. I am 16 years old and live in Fredon, NJ.  I have been working very hard towards becoming an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in scouting. To earn the rank of Eagle, I must direct and supervise a community service project to completion. This also requires raising funds from the community, friends, family, etc. and doing a top quality job for the Scouts and for the community to appreciate. My project includes replacing the split rail fence, staining the fence and installing a swing gate at the entrance to Lodestar Park located on Route 94 in Fredon, NJ.  Lodestar Park is a center for recreation and social gatherings in the township.  It is anchored by the historic Coursen House and serves the recreation commission with fields for all sports and a location for several community events.   The park also includes a paved walking trail and nature trail.  Currently, the fence is deteriorated and the gate is not functioning. I must fundraise the money in order to purchase the necessary supplies and materials. I have estimated that the cost of my project will be $1600.00.  Contributions towards this project are greatly appreciated.
