Modular Energy Harvester System

$125 of $4,285 goal

Raised by 2 people in 6 days
We are an interdisciplinary  team of students from Florida International University , working to design an build a highly modular and efficient Energy Harvester System.  We are eager to develop a product that will be capable of providing energy to users in remote isolated villages in third world countries. Our product will use solar and kinetic energy as primary inputs, but it will easily adapt to allow other sources of energy.

The product is intended to be used by small communities in developing countries with little or no access to an electrical grid.  It will be user friendly, therefore anyone could be able to operate and manage the system with minimal or no training. The system will also be able to accommodate community growth, and increase in power demand. It is designed to be modular and adaptable for multiple power sources. In practice, the system should be easily applicable to any situation where there is need for off-grid energy such as recreational outdoors and emergency situations.
