MavDog is battling K9 Lymphoma....

Donation protected
On May 18, 2018, Maverick was officially diagnosed with K9 Lymphoma. Chemotherapy was recommended to be started on that day to try and get Maverick's Lymphoma into remission. His initial response was great and within a few days, he was eating and drinking almost normally. We have been taking Maverick every week to Chemotherapy since then,  and his prognosis looks promising.

Chemotherapy is a very expensive treatment for K9 Lymphoma, and needs to be done in a particular sequence depending on which drug protocols are used. These sequences vary, but the norm is to run the protocol for about 26 weeks. We are using a highly regarded Oncology clinic with a Veterinarian  that has many years practicing Oncology. Any and all funds donated to Maverick's cause will be used to help pay for his treatments and associated Lab fees. He has Blood Work done every week to monitor any side effects and look for a reduction in White Blood Cells. During his treatment, we always make sure that his quality of life is great, pain free,  and make sure that he is out doing the things that he loves. (Hiking, Kayaking, Swimming, etc.)

Donations are being accepted now in hopes of getting his Vet bills lowered  as much as possible. As of today, his bill at the Vet is already at $3,000.

For those of you that don't know Maverick, he is a third level Trick Dog, or an Advanced Trick Dog. He has been performing at many different venues for over five years now. Maverick has his own trading cards, stickers, coloring books, not to mention his extremely large fan base. Maverick's act is called "The Amazing Maverick", and includes counting numbers and objects, telling time, doing Math on a chalkboard, counting money, and answering "yes" and "no" questions from his stage. His audience is always allowed to come up and ask Maverick to shake, or for a "fist bump", which is the kids' favorite.  Maverick has been in training for the past seven years to get him where he is now. His audiences love him wherever he is performing.

Maverick is my life! We have been on so many adventures over the past five years learning how to perform. We perform to get people to laugh, smile, and learn how smart he really is.  I would be so grateful for any dollar amount to help get Maverick's illness into remission so he can continue to perform and train. We are always expanding his talents. This way he can continue giving back to our community by doing charitable performances for city events, church's, foster programs,  local Schools, etc.
