Publish Hobie's autobiography

To all his family and friends, he is known as “Hobie” an American icon and sports hero.  He turned 90 last December, and published his autobiography May 24th.  A recent story, “Unbroken,” became a best seller, and I believe “Challenge” will also become a best seller and made for TV movie.

Hobie overcame challenges to become “The World’s Greatest Diving Coach” at Indiana University with a toughminded philosophy that challenged him and all those he coached to succeed beyond their dreams and become Olympic and National Diving Champions.

We created a $4,000 goal using GoFundMe to finance publishing his book because your minimum contribution of $30 is a non-taxable gift, and in return you’ll get a personally autographed copy of his book that retails for $29.95 that includes s/h and will surely be a keepsake collector’s item.  All proceeds go to Hobie.  And in only the first two weeks of February we exceeded that goal.

His book is 375 pages with 150+ photos and many stories – more like a history of diving he inspired and created!  Hobie advanced diving as a pioneer and there are many coaches who have positions today since he was only the second college diving coach hired in the entire U.S. in 1958. 

But wait a minute!  Here’s our problem.  I’ve sent these links out in 6 different emails to 754 people on my incomplete swim and dive list, but only 61 people have placed their order.

I don’t want to imply Hobie’s CHALLENGE is a “rags to riches” story.  Because riches mean financial wealth to most people.  But to Hobie “riches” means helping others to succeed beyond their dreams.  To that end, he made huge sacrifices to ensure the continuing success of so many athletes and coaches.  Wouldn’t it be nice to pay a little back to Hobie now, and learn how to succeed beyond your dreams?
