NEXTDOOR community art group
Donation protected
Nextdoor has had an active 2017. We have hosted artist visits and successfully exhibited a group exhibition with the support of WIA projects at OISE in Toronto titled "leaning in". This year we have been meeting on Tuesday evenings to connect in a friendly non-judgemental atmosphere, create art and skill share. We are continuing to fundraise, as we are a local not for profit community group.
"Community based initiatives such as NEXTDOOR are integral to the healing process of individuals, and also contributes to building strong, self-reliant community networks. Empowering citizens in their healing journey is good for everyone. I highly recommend supporting this program! "
- Marsha Clark, Visual Artist
You can see what we have been up to on our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/460851240765697/ Your generous funding helps with art materials, and snacks for our weekly group. Thank you!
NEXTDOOR is an inclusive arts-based group. We come together on a weekly basis (Tuesday's from 6:00-7:30pm) to reflect on poetry, and to enjoy the process of art making in the spirit of building community and friendship. All Welcome (18+). Free.

This program is important to me because I believe in the positive and healing impact that having a safe and creative space can give us.
For your generosity, I thank you!
