Kidz Club Playground Campaign

FCC Kidz Club meets every Wednesday night September- April. We are currently averaging 175 kids on Wednesday evenings. Kidz Club is free to all children ages 2 through 5th grade. Kidz Club begins its night serving up a free hot meal for children and their parents. We serve approximately 80 families weekly. Our Kidz Club mission is helping kids follow Christ through every aspect of life! Our evening is full of fun and energetic singing and dancing; arts and crafts; Bible lessons and structured games all designed to help kids grow and develop. We are watching our youth building friendships and families growing together. We have special event days such as our famous pinewood derby and participation in the Mummer’s parade. We host day camps through the summer including a camp for preschoolers, a kids sports camp that focuses on sportsmanship and skill development and a week-long day camp for K-5th that includes, arts & crafts, bible time, games and team building activities.
With the growth of our program, we are quickly out growing our current designated Kidz Club area and we are in need of capital improvements around our church campus. We are also currently looking to make some upgrades with our upcoming summer camps such as a rope course, tree houses, sand area and our dreams don’t stop there, we are hoping in the near future to be able to build an FCC recreation center so that we can continue to offer fun, safe activities for an unlimited amount of children within are immediate and surrounding communities.
Our 2015, fundraising goal is $25,000 to build a play area with swings, slides, climbing walls and more. Our current play area is not handicap accessible and does not allow for large groups of children to play at the same time. These funds will allow FCC to level the area needed, build an adequate play structure and finish the area with treated mulch.
