Protecting Our Schools Legal Fund
Donation protected
The PROTECTING OUR SCHOOLS & COMMUNITY group is a COMMUNITY-BASED, GRASSROOTS effort. We are simply citizens, parents, grandparents, and taxpayers who are concerned about our children, our schools, and our community.
The pending annexations of three areas of South Fulton communities (portions of Sandtown, South Oak, Loch Lomond) by the city of Atlanta, as presently put forth, will disrupt our children's education, displace over 1,800 students, and result in the possible loss of two schools to APS (A. Philip Randolph Elementary School & Sandtown Middle School) valued at a combined $54 million. Moreover, the annexation would negatively impact the hundreds of children that participate in sports and recreational activities at Sandtown Park and Recreation Center. For a community that cares, this is simply unacceptable!
This annexation is on a FAST TRACK, and we must act quickly! We are seeking your assistance in donating to a legal representation fund. Our attorneys will be taking legal action to keep our children in their existing schools. Together we can and together we will. Please donate and pass this message along.
