Protect a Community in Yerushalayim

Due to the security situation in Israel some Avrechim, under the advice of our Rav, have armed themselves to help protect our community. The ability to use a firearm in stressfull situations while surrounded by innocent civilians, however, requires constant high level training. We are turning to you, to help send a group of our community members for advanced quarterly self defense firearms training courses.
No one needs an introduction to the current terror wave here in Israel. However, some are not aware that terrorists are specifically targeting the Charedi population. This can be for many reasons, but one of them as described by an undercover policeman (mista'arvim) operating in Jabel Mukaber is "because they know Charedim don't have guns." Living in Neve Yaakov, Jerusalem, surrounded by several hostile Arab villages, there is a growing need to have members of our community armed and present in shuls, yeshivahs and buses. A large portion of the recent terror attacks have been neutralized by armed citizens, however there have also been innocent civilians hit by stray bullets. Therefore, ongoing training is vital to properly prepare for such complex, high-speed, high-stress encounters.
Quality training is expensive, and must be done regularly to keep skills current. It will cost approximately $1,300 per person for comprehensive long term training. With your help we would like to send 8 members from our community for training. Any amount less than our goal will still be used towards training as many individuals as we can. We intend to start training immediately.
Please take a part in this worthy endeavor, pass this on to your friends, and may we never have to use our weapons, but if we do Hashem should guide us in using them properly.
