Promise to patches

At the end of April we adopted a puppy from the Queensbury SPCA. At the time of adoption I was assured of her impeccable health. My husband picked out her name, Patches.
6 days later she became violently ill and we rushed Patches to the nearest Veterinary hospital where she was diagnosed with Canine Parvo virus. The virus lays dormant until it shows up in a puppy that is not fully vaccinated (Patches was too young at the time of adoption to be fully vaccinated). This little puppy was fighting for her life and needed IV medications ASAP.
Patches was so weak she couldn’t even lift her little head. It was something so pathetic to see that I cried looking at her in her quarantined area. I prayed she would survive but there were no guarantees. After 3 plus days in the hospital patches came back to her forever where she continued her recovery. She showed a fighting spirit that would inspire anyone. We love this little puppy that went through so much and are extremely grateful that she has recovered.
The cost to give her a second chance to live was a financial hardship for us but Patches needed us and we couldn’t let her down. We informed the SPCA of the situation throughout and they are aware what happened to Patches. I asked the SPCA worker why she never mentioned Parvo and how it would show up within 10 to 14 days. Her answer to me that I "would not have adopted her if they told me the risk of Parvo" was unbelievable, but so true.
They will not help us at all financially or offer back our adoption fee of $390. Because of the financial hardship it has taken on us, I am humbly asking for assistance through this GoFund Me page for Patches. Any amount will be very much appreciated. Thank you.
