ProjectWALL Bus or Van Conversion, Vehicle Transport Mission, or Carpooling Goal for 2019

Hi Everyone! We are on a mission to paint in communities across the United States!

Thanks for viewing our separate funding page I created to give supporters an option to fund the roadtrip only. When researching vehicle conversion, it’s clear costs can run high for live-in amenities like; toilet, stove or shower, and extra storage for supplies and necessary equipment (canopy, bikes, etc).

Last year we had about $2K to put towards travel expenses and art shows. We made every penny stretch to offer events, free classes, pop-up community art exhibitions, gallery installations, and travels to museums in Georgia & San Francisco. It was an exciting and interesting year on the mainland, but we aren’t done fundraising and still need major funding.

I’ll post links to Craigslist ads and links from eBay showing what’s out there...vehicle conversion is costly, but here on gofundme, anything’s possible when enough support is there. I know there’s other people interested in bringing more art to their communities and would support linking artists overseas who may have limited resources in getting their art seen. Help us get on the road to reach more communities and share amazing artworks, teach, build, plant, and offer our skills we’ve brought all the way from little island in the Pacific.

FIRST DESTINATION: SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH!!!
We are planning first destination and need your help with first priority——getting there! We need funds for gas, maintenance, art supplies, entry fees, and more. As always, members put in all of our savings (last year over $2K was from personal funds).

We want to reach Utah and ****New York this year. A vehicle would mean huge savings on travel expenses by staying in places longer to work side jobs in the communities.  A vehicle conversion means visiting more incredible landscapes to paint and entering more art exhibitions too!

After show in April we head to Utah to bring our aloha & hopefully offer an amazing mind blowing art vehicle/traveling pop-up gallery from everyone’s donations this year.

❤️UPDATE & APPRECIATION FOR EVERYONES HELP❤️

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to post an update on first destination for ProjectWALL2019; Salt Lake City, Utah! (:
Had a couple shows where I could try and sell my art for funds, but didn't sell but $20 worth...super disappointed because an email stated average sales to be over $300 /: But good news is; I made the mandatory 20 ticket sales!! Yay!! Now I can plan for the 2nd destination for ProjectWALL; NYC!!! And that's awesome because I can reach more artists in the USA (:

Selling my art at pop-up "pay to play" shows isn't a for me, but certainly, venues that encourage collaboration, passing out more marketing materials that may lead to sponsorships or donations, I'm in. And although, I had to again use my own personal funds to get me here to Utah, it's all worth it.

I made a few last calls out to the other members and artists interested in going on the road, but everyone was tapped out financially. Because I'm able to work from a laptop, I can travel, but most people need time to plan, so the next trip won't be until after June to get the word out more and see if we can all make our deposit deadlines for a conversion bus. Sucks, because couple artists I met at recent shows wanted to go with me, but the nonprofit just cant afford to pay for anyone to travel free...but I know if I pulled up with a big painted schoolbus, honking; "all aboard the Supernova!!!" we'd be rolling out across the USA right after I'm done here in Utah!!

I'll gather some interviews with more local artists & museum curators to share on the SM accounts. Going to work on the blog this week too (thanks University of Utah!) Tomorrow I head to UMOFA! can't wait to check out the Fine Arts here (:

(***want to thank everyone out there who donated to help me meet the ticket deadline too (: Because of the generous donations/commissions paid in full, I now qualify to showcase & can plan for New York City!!! And again bring more awareness to ProjectWALL and the reopening of The Art Bar San Francisco.) For more updates; https://www.mishelnarvaez.com
