The Jeffanie’s are fund raising for Tiny Blessings in collaboration with Child Hope Asia Philippines. Tiny Blessings is found and currently managed by Kyle Javier. Kyle is a California-born, Filipino-American, who was living in Miami but now calls the Makati, Metro Manila area his new home as of last year. After accompanying his father on a medical mission that provided dental services in the Philippines, he felt the need to accomplish more than what he intended on his trip. A few months after returning to The States, he set out to move to the Philippines to help take care of the less fortunate, especially homeless children. In under a year, Kyle was able to introduce himself and continues to touch so many lives. He started with handing out bananas every day to now offering two, full meals to 40+ street children on a daily basis.
Kyle has overcome many obstacles all while achieving twice as many goals for Tiny Blessings in a very short amount of time. Along with providing daily meals, medical attention, and other living supplies, he also manages to obtain birth certificates for many of the children in order to receive an education. In between teaching morals and slowly turning Tiny Blessings into a non-profit, he recently raised over $14,000 in tuition. These funds are for an accelerated program at a private school for the older children who have never had an education before.
The next project that Kyle is organizing is in collaboration with Child Hope Asia Philippines, a non-profit organization that will provide professional help to “empower street children and their families, and to help them to gain access to a more developmental and productive future.” With this program, social workers will assist 5 days a week, between the hours of 1:00pm – 9:00pm to provide basic and urgent care that includes but is not limited to food, transportation, medical care, counseling, education, and recreational activities.
Our goal is to help the children of Tiny Blessings gain these “opportunities for holistic development” with Child Hope Asia Philippines. We have already booked our flights and will be meeting with Kyle and his children in Makati, Philippines the second week of May 2019. Along with providing medication and pantry ingredients, we are taking our passions of cooking and hair cutting to be shared with them. Our hope is to raise the first month of the Child Hope Asia Philippines program in addition to providing aid for their daily living supplies. Your support is much appreciated. We cannot wait to see the smiles it will bring to these kids.
