#ProjectBlackbird Fund
Donation protected
Project Blackbird’s mission is to call for the freedom and liberation of communities that have been affected by the criminal justice system through digital media advocacy. Within our work, we highlight storytelling as a medium to humanize the people who are most impacted by mass incarceration. We advocate for individuals who’ve been jailed due to inability to afford bail, unfair sentencing practices, and the stories that define the need for criminal justice reform across Oklahoma and the nation.
Funds will be used to fund expenses associated with bailouts.
1. To call for awareness of Tondalao Hall's story by educating about disproportionate sentencing as a result of her conviction under the "Failure to Protect" law.
2. To implement a public education digital media campaign to illustrate the massive failures of the criminal justice system and its effects on communities of color
3. Get document 6 from Oklahoma County & Tulsa County and document their jail conditions, fines and fees, and impact of incarceration before 2018.
