Hi I'm Wild1 !
Don't let the name fool you I'm not really that wild! I'm a real sweety!

I love to run and hike daily in nature and play in the snow but lately I’m not feeling well.

I need to go to the vet to get more tests to see what is causing me to not feel good. I am not my energetic self. I’ve been sleeping alot and I haven’t been eating much either. I keep pressing my head against things and these last couple of days I’m acting a little strange so my mom is getting really concerned now!

My mom has taken good care of me for the last 5 years of my life but this year she is struggling with some serious health and financial issues so I thought I would reach out to other dog lovers in my community for some help and support.

FUNDRAISING GOALS (UPDATED)

URGENT!!

I NEED TO MOVE OUT OF A TOXIC HOME ENVIRONMENT ASAP!
After several visits to the vet (see updates) and being removed from my home we discovered that i was suffering from toxicity ( because "some people" use alot of toxic fragrances in the house like essential oils and wont stop) so i need to get out of this environment ASAP and stay at a temporary home so i can heal up and feel better soon!

VET TESTS & SPECIALIST
The fundraising goal is set for $5000 to help me get proper tests,  medical care and help moving out of a toxic home ASAP!

So far with the help from some generous donors I have been able to get several tests (blood work, xrays, ultrasounds etc) to investigate the cause of my mystery illness "toxicity in the house".  Now that i have had many tests and we figured out the cause I still need a consultation with a specialists for my torn ACLs.

BUY A SHIRT = SAVE WILD1

I have created a collection of T-shirts and other items as a way to give back to those who would like to contribute and help. Its my way of saying thank you for your support. All unused or surplus funds from my Wild1 campaign will be donated to help other dogs in need and to The Cooper Campaign who has been of great support. www.wild1.ca

A BIG THANK YOU

A BIG THANK YOU to all the donors and caring people that are helping me and checking up on me. Thank you for all the good vibes sent I am soooo very grateful! xoxo

I will try to post updates regularly to keep everyone up to date on the test results.( see my recent updates)

ESSENTIAL OILS ARE TOXIC FOR PETS !

Essential oils can be very dangerous for pets, particularly in their 100 percent concentrated form. And with essential oils’ growing popularity and the use of diffusors and warmers, which release the oils into a home’s air, pets’ risk of exposure increases. Birds are especially sensitive and should never be exposed to essential oils.

Pets are most often poisoned when essential oils come into contact with the skin. (Animals also sometimes ingest these products, though that seems to occur far less commonly.) Owners should tread cautiously when using 100 percent essential oils in the home.

Signs and symptoms of essential-oil poisoning in pets include :

* Difficulty breathing
* Drooling
* Fatigue
* Weakness
* Difficulty walking or stumbling
* Muscle tremors
* Pawing at the mouth or face
* Redness or burns on their lips, tongue, skin or gums
* Vomiting
* Diarrhea
* Depression
* Lethargy
* Abnormal behavior.

There’s a significant association between the pet’s weight, age, and species—especially cats—with the severity of illness. The smaller and younger a pet is, the sicker they are likely to get. The same goes for pets with liver disease.

What Should I Do if My Pet Shows These Symptoms?

Just like poisoning in humans, the key to reacting to poisoning in your pet is to act FAST. Don’t delay contacting a professional. Call your veterinarian or the Pet Poison Helpline. Seek medical treatment immediately. If you can’t reach your vet or their office is closed, bring your cat or dog to an animal emergency medical center. The sooner, the better. Acting fast will improve your pet’s prognosis!

WILD1 UPDATE!
HELP WILD1 FIND A NEW HOME ASAP!

Well we have finally discovered why Wild1 has been so sick !

SIGNS OF TOXICITY
Since December Wild1 has been displaying signs of toxicity such as behavioral changes, head pressing, pawing at nose and face, tremors, and twitching, drooling, breathing issues, irregular heart beat, weakness and lethargy, excessive drinking, gastrointestinal issues, nausea, blood in diarrhea and recently vomiting.

TOXICITY IN THE HOUSE
"Some people" in the house are still using strong chemical fragrances like febreeze, brightair, candles, essential oils ...etc (and who knows what else... we cant seem to get to the truth ) making Wild1 sick and so we are forced to move out and find a new home ASAP!

GETTING OUT OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Last week after getting Wild1 out of the environment for 5 days, he felt much better and was more alert but as soon as we got back to the house on Sunday he started getting sick again with diarhea and vomiting and I instantly had an allergic reaction (for the first time in my life) with tingling lips and face and itchy eyes and throat as well as increase heart rate, chest tightness and a migraine (unlike my normal brain pains).

We need to get Wild1 out of this environment ASAP that is making him so sick!

PLEASE HELP WILD1 FIND A NEW HOME !
Unfortunately I am not in a position financially to move again (since we just moved in here 3 months ago) so any help in finding Wild1 a temporary home or help with the cost of moving again to get him out of here AS SOON AS POSSIBLE would be of tremendous help!

WILD1 UPDATE!

Good news!!!

Yesterday we decided to get Wild1 out of the toxic environment at the house (where some people have been using strong fragrances, sprays and oils). I had asked them repeatedly to stop using them but they still continue to ignore us.

So yesterday with the help of some good souls we decided to get Wild1 to stay somewhere else for a few days to see if it would make a difference and wow so far i already see a difference!

This morning Wild1’s breathing is getting better and he’s more alert.

I’m real upset with the whole situation at the home!
Now I’m faced with having to rehome Wild1 until the situation is fixed.

For now I am monitoring him closely for the next couple of days to see if all his symptoms resolve.

I am very grateful that Wild1 seems to be feeling better and hopefully he is on his way to a full recovery ! fingers crossed

NEW WILD1 UPDATE:

This weekend Wild1 has been medicated so he's been quite lethargic and sleeping alot but monday morning he seemed more alert... up until mid afternoon where he started feeling sick again so i took him to the vet again.

STOMACH X-RAY
During the visit at the vet Wild1 was showing more signs of pain in his stomach area so he got a stomach xray. We noticed several bone spurs in his spine (which could be part of the cause for his pain) and also a small liver ...but that doesnt quite explain his other symptoms which some seem neurological and coming from the head area (head pressing, pawing at nose, leaky nose, squinting eye , twitching etc).

CT SCAN TESTS NEEDED!
So to get some answers we need to get CT-Scans of the brain and neck area as well as the stomach area to rule out any foreign masses or issues. At the same time we would also like to get scans of his legs to check his ACL tears!

NEED TO RAISE $1500 ASAP!
We have booked the CT-Scans for the next available appointment in 4 days in hopes of being able to raise the $1500 + needed to get the scans done. I know i'm pushing my luck but I have to give it a try !

LETS HELP SAVE WILD1 !
It breaks my heart to see this poor boy suffering. Any help and support towards his medical bills could be life saving!

As soon as Wild1 is back to recovery, as a way to pay it forward, he promises to help with the COOPER CAMPAIGN who have been of tremendous support to Wild1 and to help other dogs in need in emergency situations like him. So lets help this boy get back on his feet to better health!

PLEASE CARE & SHARE THIS CAMPAIGN!
