Hi I'm Wild1 !
Don't let the name fool you I'm not really that wild! I'm a real sweety!

I love to run and hike daily in nature and play in the snow but lately I’m not feeling well.

I need to go back to the vet to get more tests to see why I'm not feeling good. I am not my energetic self. I’ve been sleeping alot and I haven’t been eating much either. I keep pressing my head against things and these last couple of days I’m acting a little strange so my mom is getting really concerned now!

My mom has taken good care of me for the last 5 years of my life but this year she is struggling with some serious health and financial issues so I thought I would reach out to other dog lovers in my community for some help and support.

FUNDRAISING GOALS (UPDATED)

NEED MORE VET TESTS & SPECIALIST APPOINTMENTS
The fundraising goal is set for $5000 to help with medical bills.
So far, with the generous help from a few donors I have been able to get several tests (blood work, x-rays, ultrasounds etc) to investigate the cause of my mystery illness which was partly caused by "toxicity in the house" and was able to get out of the house for a break to recover but I'm still suffering from respiratory issues and need more medical care. I also still need to see a specialist for my torn ACL's to get braces and or surgery if needed ($10k).

WILD1 NEEDS A NEW HOME
Help me move to a new home.  I would love to live in the mountains in nature where i belong... i love a cool environment in the summer and i love the snow in the winter time! I've been so lucky to have spent most of my life going for daily hikes in the nature (check out my pics on my fb page ). I realize I have to slow down because of my ACL problems but i still live to be in nature and breath in fresh air. Because of my respiratory issues that have developed this year I need clean living that means a non-smoking non-toxic home environment full of love and good vibes. I love being around people and children and other dogs depending on the temperament not too sure about cats though... they look alot like rabbits and squirrels to me. Just a nice quiet clean non-toxic home in nature that has a nice big fenced in yard for me to play!

BUY A SHIRT = SAVE WILD1

As a way to help raise funds I have created a collection of shirts and other items as a way to give back to those who would like to contribute and help. Its my way of saying thank you for your support. All unused or surplus funds from my Wild1 campaign will be donated to help other dogs in need and to TCCampaign who has been of great support. www.wild1.ca

WILD1 UPDATE:

Wild has been resting up lots and trying to heal up... going for short walks although its hard for him he misses long daily hikes in nature especially in the winter which is his favorite time of the year He loves the snow and this cold weather -30!!! but since he hurt his ACL's and he's still not feeling 100% he has not been able to hike and run much and he's definitely feeling depressed. He needs to get some braces to see if this would help give him some relief.

Please help share his campaign and help get Wild1 some medical care and move to a new home!

NEW WILD1 UPDATE:

WILD1 IS NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET!

This last week Wild1 has had a chance to recover a bit and heal up although he's still not 100%. He's still having respiratory issues that needs medical attention.

I'm feeling overwhelmed that Wild1 is still not well and that we have to go back to the vet (again) for medications incurring another possible $300+ in vet bills just for a prescription for antibiotics incase of penumonia and steroids incase it's inflammation from bronchitis.

Not only that but we also need to see a Specialist to get an assessment on his ACL's ($500+?? and who knows how much testing will cost let alone the cost of surgery ($10K) if needed! )

WILD1 NEEDS MORE FUNDING FOR MEDICAL HELP!

We are very grateful to everyone who has helped Wild1 get medical care in the last couple of months. Your help and generosity has been absolutely amazing! But the funds have all been used up and we are at a stand still unable to proceed to get him more medical care so any help fundraising and sharing this Wild1 campaign would be sooooooo amazingly awesome!

THE WILD1 CAMPAIGN WAS CREATED TO HELP WILD1 GET MEDICAL CARE... Once Wild1 is better he plans to continue The Wild1 Campaign to help other dogs in need as a way to pay it forward and give back to his buddies in the community.

LETS HELP WILD1 FEEL BETTER SOON!

WILD1 IS MOVING TO A NEW HOME! (ON HOLD FOR NOW)
Wild1 has been invited to stay at a doggie retreat out of town so the goal is to get him moved there and settled in where he can relax and breath fresh air and go for walks in nature and heal up his little lungs and hopefully clear up his bronchitis and feel back to normal again (away from any smoke and neurotoxins in the air).

This move was not in the plans so any help towards moving Wild1 to a new home would be so helpful!

A NEW ADVENTURE AWAITS...
Wild1 is excited to leave this toxic environment and looks forward to healing and being back in nature.

Stay tuned it should be an exciting adventure!!

ESSENTIAL OILS ARE TOXIC FOR PETS !

Essential oils can be very dangerous for pets, particularly in their 100 percent concentrated form. And with essential oils’ growing popularity and the use of diffusors and warmers, which release the oils into a home’s air, pets’ risk of exposure increases. Birds are especially sensitive and should never be exposed to essential oils.

Pets are most often poisoned when essential oils come into contact with the skin. (Animals also sometimes ingest these products, though that seems to occur far less commonly.) Owners should tread cautiously when using 100 percent essential oils in the home.

Signs and symptoms of essential-oil poisoning in pets include :

* Difficulty breathing
* Drooling
* Fatigue
* Weakness
* Difficulty walking or stumbling
* Muscle tremors
* Pawing at the mouth or face
* Redness or burns on their lips, tongue, skin or gums
* Vomiting
* Diarrhea
* Depression
* Lethargy
* Abnormal behavior.

There’s a significant association between the pet’s weight, age, and species—especially cats—with the severity of illness. The smaller and younger a pet is, the sicker they are likely to get. The same goes for pets with liver disease.

What Should I Do if My Pet Shows These Symptoms?

Just like poisoning in humans, the key to reacting to poisoning in your pet is to act FAST. Don’t delay contacting a professional. Call your veterinarian or the Pet Poison Helpline. Seek medical treatment immediately. If you can’t reach your vet or their office is closed, bring your cat or dog to an animal emergency medical center. The sooner, the better. Acting fast will improve your pet’s prognosis!
