Project Lit Montbello Fundraising

We are a group of book lovers in the Montbello community led by passionate students and teachers who want to support the love of reading in Far Northeast Denver.

We are beginning our second year of book clubs, author's visits, and community events through our chapter of Project Lit at the Montbello High School campus. In our inaugural year we had dozens of middle and high school students who regularly attended and led book club meetings, interacted with prominent authors, and led school-wide assemblies to rally the community around a love for literature. Through the generous support of our school and community partners, the students were able to receive free books throughout the school year. More importantly, these books featured diverse authors, storylines and characters, which allowed our students to see themselves in the pages of great literature.

To continue our mission, we need your support to ensure that our students have access to free books, t-shirts to rep our club, movie tickets to see a screening of Angie Thomas' The Hate U Give, and transportation costs for field trips. Our students and community deserve access to diverse literature, and you can help!
