Project Feed Chorley

Donation protected
We are aiming to raise £20,000 to help complete essential building work and make Christmas a little bit better for those in need in the local area by helping to provide fresh food for their Christmas dinner. The building work is integral to keeping the foodbank operational for the future. At present, it is operated through the Church cellar which isn't practical or a suitable environment for our volunteers to work. We can not go through another winter in the damp conditions. In addition to this, we want to help feed Chorley this Christmas, ensuring that those families most in need over the festive period at least have the opportunity to have a nice, family, Christmas dinner.   Since the foodbank began 7 years ago, assisting just 12 families a month, we now help to feed 100 families in desperate need every month just in our local area.  This project will help make Christmas a little bit better for those 100 families and secure the foodbank facility for the future for the Chorley community. We have a number of fundraising events and initiatives ongoing throughout November and December to help us get to our goal by Christmas and we would like the whole community to get involved to support this vital service.   We have the space allocated and the plans in place and passed for a purpose built unit on the site of our current building. This will give us more storage space and provide a much more practical and healthier environment for our volunteers to work. Please help us reach our goal and support #ProjectFeedChorley
