Pritchett/Prosser CAMP FIRE

Donation protected
Our family has been hit hard by the CAMP Fire in California.  Our Uncle Glen in Black, his dog Red, our Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Glen in the middle, and my Mom Ginny and Step Father Vic and their three parrots (Front Right) all are displaced.  At this point they are all safe.  They will need to find places to live and start again.  If you can spare a dinner on you, some new clothes, or what not I am sure they would love to feel supported.  Thanks in Advance.    Stacey Dillon (daughter, grand daughter and niece to the recipients) will be receiving the funds and delivering them to our family members to help them through this hard transition.

*UPDATE*

It is hard to believe it has already been 11 days since the evacuation of
Paradise and other small towns in the surrounding area. We also are blown away by
the generosity of our family and friends as well as others we
don’t even know…who have come to the aid of our family and the entire
community that has been devastated.

We’re happy to report the Ginny & Vic are settled with Vic’s daughter
Gina and her family in Los Gatos. They welcomed them with open arms
along with the birds! GG + Papa Vic have a cozy private space to hang
their hats (and the few things they purchased) until they determine next
steps. Thank you Gina + John for making them feel at home.

It has been a rougher road for Grandpa. He and his wife Ruth have been
staying with our dad Sam + step mom Norma in Discovery Bay since they
left the shelter they stayed in the first two days in Chico.  Sam and Norma have been so helpful in getting them off to a good start.  Unfortunately, several
days ago Grandpa Glen wasn’t feeling well and had to go via ambulance to
the hospital. He is currently in stable condition and in good hands at John Muir in
Concord. Thank you  Norma + Sam for being there for Grandpa + Ruth,
we’re so lucky to have a blended family that takes care of each other,
no matter how we all came together. We’re praying for a speedy recovery
for Grandpa - so he a Ruth can determine next steps.

Family Dillon is recruiting Uncle Glen to come hang with us in Marin for
a bit. Thanks to Sam + Norma he has had a place to stay since he was
reconnected with Grandpa + Ruth during the evacuation. Uncle Glen had
not been home when the evacuation went into effect, so he really lost
everything in the fact that he didn’t get to grab ANYTHING. Thankfully
his dog Red was staying with Grandpa, so he is safe too!

Thank goodness all three homes were insured and everyone will be just
fine in the long run. It will be a long road to get to the next place,
but we’ve rallied as a family and are all trying to work together to get
through all the paperwork, research, phone calls, etc.

We can never thank you enough for your generosity. Each and every one
that has donated has made a HUGE impact on our family. Not just the
dollars, but the idea that you’re thinking about them. It really does
mean a lot. The CASH on hand raised via GoFundMe is making things just a
little easier as we await mail being forwarded from the holding office
in Chico to find each of them in their displaced spots. And when the
dust settles and they have made heads or tails of where things stand,
we’ll be sure to PAY FORWARD any of the funds donated to those who are
STILL IN NEED. We’re also planning to thank first responders and find a
way to help kids who lost their homes during the holidays. Your
generosity is just AMAZING!

Forever grateful,
Shawn + Stacey
